Tigers plan to hit back at Nomads

Azam Tigers have said they will permanently sign four Mighty Wanderers players who have been loaned to them because of an outstanding transfer dispute involving five other players.

During the recent transfer window, which closed on Thursday, Wanderers loaned out Diverson Chilemba, Omega Mhone, Felix Kamwendo and Develius Mwale to Tigers.

“In total, they owe us about K5.05 million. Once we are through with the reconciliations, we’ll normalise the process with Sulom and Wanderers,” said Madeira.

However, Wanderers vice- general secretary Chris Kananji on Monday said they will not accept Tigers’ move.

“We followed proper channels to sign the players. Of course, we owe them a minimal balance which we plan to settle in due course, but it is an exaggeration for them to suggest that they will sign the players we loaned them permanently because there was never such an agreement,” said Kananji.
